Warsword Conquest has been around for a while, and while it's still in beta, this Warhammer fantasy total conversion mod features factions like the Scaven, dwarves, orcs, elves, Lizardmen and more. If you're ready to slaughter and pillage your way to the Iron Throne, this is the mod for you. It was officially released in April this year and is still being updated - you can check out June's patch notes here - and it lets you pick character names based on either the books or the TV series, which is a nice touch. We reviewed AWoIaF a few years ago, comparing it to another popular Game of Thrones mod, A Clash of Kings. If you're yearning for some Game of Thrones action while waiting for the next book or the new series, A World of Ice and Fire is going to be right up your street. ![]() A Song of Ice and Fire is music to our ears Let us know if your favourites made the list, and if you have any suggestions of your own. In anticipation of the sequel hopefully hitting its potential 2017 release date, we've rounded up some of the best mods for you to try in Warband as the game is super cheap right now, and it's a good a time as any to dip your toes into the water. Mount & Blade: Warband's best mods and where to get them There's a tonne of mods for Mount & Blade: Warband, from total conversion to simpler fare that makes the game prettier, and that's what we're here for today. ![]() The sequel, Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlords, still doesn't have a confirmed release date but we do know that developer TaleWorlds will share its tools to keep the modding community alive. Mount & Blade: Warband is the standalone expansion for Mount & Blade that released on Steam back in 2010 and made its console debut at the end of last year, and a huge modding community has built up around it. ![]() For me I like both I will play mount and blade if I want some fun alone doing stupid things within a sandbox game and mods, but I will play chivalry if I want real fun with others online.Waiting for Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlords? Stop twiddling your thumbs and give some of these Warband mods a whirl. If you like aiming all the time and single player with great mods then mount and blade is your game, if you like a multiplayer game which you don't need to care about getting the right attack because everything has it's own keybinding and just want to have fun with other people chopping off heads and limbs then chivalry is your game. Chivalry is a multiplayer game which is focused on multiplayer and team work but it doesn't really have single player only bots.Ībout combat it depends on what you like mount and blade uses like I say an old system with a lot of just clicking and moving your mouse in the direction you want to attack and hoping it does the right attack chivalry has bound attacks to different keys. You need to aim your block else others can still drag around it with stab etc, you can't compare mount and blade with chivalry there are 2 different games that does 2 different things, mount and blade is heavy focused on singleplayer and only mods keep it alive, but for multiplayer it's just basicly almost nothing. Simply becuase these players hadn't learned them. That's when all these complaints increased massively. Rather than spending 10 hours on the low rank servers, learning how to play wrong then getting thrust into the normal game with the wrong expectations. Simply becuase the new players back then saw these tactics day one and learnt them. Before rank limits were added there were far less complaints against valid tactics. They get you into bad habits that are hard to break out of and will ruin your game experiance. Some slow learners refuse to learn at all. There are two kinds of players in this game. ![]() There are far more tactics to use and everyone can fill their own playstyle. The fluidity and flexibility far outshines anything mount and blade has to offer. When you play chivalry you will see the emptiness in MnB's combat. However they are very much prevalent on the steam forums and constantly listen to the players. The devs aren't listning to the steam playerbase.
